Intro to Hip Hop (Ages 5–8) 📍 Richmond Urban Dance 4 E Grace Street, Richmond, VA 23219 🗓 Wednesdays | 4:00–5:00 PM Semester: September 8 – December 16 (14 Weeks) No class the week of Thanksgiving. Get your child moving, grooving, and building confidence in our high-energy Intro to Hip Hop class! Designed for beginners, this fun and encouraging class introduces dancers to the foundations of hip hop while exploring a variety of styles, including old school, commercial, popping, breaking, and more. Dancers will develop rhythm, coordination, musicality, body control, and performance skills through engaging exercises, freestyle activities, and age-appropriate choreography. Perfect for kids who love to move, express themselves, and have fun in a positive, supportive environment! Attire: Comfortable clothing that allows for movement. Shoes: Clean tennis shoes/sneakers are required. Enrollment Information This is a 14-week semester class running September 8–December 16. No class the week of Thanksgiving. Class size is limited to 10 students to ensure individualized attention. Drop-in classes are welcome as long as space is available. Trial classes are available for purchase, but do not reserve a spot in the class. Once the class reaches capacity, drop-ins and trial classes will no longer be available.
