Violinist Julian Rhee returns for Philip Glass’ Violin Concerto No. 1 , honoring the composer’s 90th birthday and the 40th anniversary of this iconic work. Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite dazzles with orchestral color and mythic energy. The evening concludes with Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances — a thrilling and bittersweet farewell from a master Romantic.
